98-100 Punkte Wine Advocate: "The blend this year is 90% Cabernet Sauvignon, 9% Merlot and 1% Petit Verdot, harvested from the 18th of September to the 5th of October. Opaque purple-black colored, the 2019 Mouton Rothschild simply shines, even at this very nascent stage, beaming from the glass with bright, vibrant scents of crème de cassis, blueberry preserves, boysenberries and black raspberries plus fragrant suggestions of lilacs, dark chocolate, sandalwood, jasmine tea and woodsmoke with a spicy waft of star anise. The medium-bodied palate shimmers with energy, featuring tightly wound layers of black fruits, exotic spices and mineral notions, framed by exquisitely ripe, fine-grained tannins and bags of freshness, finishing with epic length and perfume. This year's profound expression is without doubt a legend in the making."

20/20 Punkte: "100 % neues Holz. Undurchsichtiges Purpur mit rubinroten Reflexen. Konzentriertes, schwarzbeeriges Bouquet, viel Cassis und Sandelholz, dahinter Nougatpralinen, Veilchen und Lakritze. Komlexes Mouton-Bouquet der allerfeinsten Art. Am königlichen Gaumen mit cremiger Textur und engmaschigem Tanningerüst, dahinter eine perfekt balancierte Rasse, die dem Wein etwas Beschwingtes verleiht. Im aromatischen Finale brennt er ein Feuerwerk mit Alpenheidelbeeren, eingelegten Schattenmorellen ab und endet mit einer royaler Adstringenz. Ein Meisterwerk! It changes all the time in the glass, just as in the nose. Yet, it remains cool and classy. Full-bodied with very fine, tight tannins that run the length of the wine, carrying on and on and on. Well-framed and compact wine. Never-ending procession of currant, berry and black cherry fruit, together with licorice, earth and just a hint of black truffle."

Powerful and statuesque in its beauty, Mouton is remarkable in every way. Layers of dark-toned fruit confer seriousness and intensity that builds with time. All of the finesse I saw in barrel is still present. Since then, the 2019 has gained flesh and vibrancy. Magnificent!"

Die Erwartungshaltung an den Mouton Rothschild ist mit jedem Wein gestiegen. Wow, diese Nase, diese Ausdruckskraft im Bouquet - ich bin hin und weg. Ein tiefgründiges und äusserst komplexes Duftbild nach schwarzer Frucht und zart rauchigen, mineralischen und würzigen Aromen. Eine Eleganz wie sie nur ein perfekter Mouton ausstrahlen kann. Am Gaumen zeigt sich ein sehr dichter und hocharomatischer Auftakt geprägt von einer saftigen Säure, welche dem Wein einen unglaublichen Genussfaktor verschafft. Die Kraft welche in diesem Wein steckt zeigt sich anhand seiner gewaltigen Struktur, welche perfekt zum Gesamtbild passt. Hier hat man erneut ein grandioses Kunstwerk geschaffen."
